This is yet another highly conceptual painting. I really don’t think that the Web does justice to some paintings and this is one of them. Seeing this in person is so much different than viewing it here online. I played with a little iridescent medium mixed into the paint in certain places, that just can’t be seen digitally. The colors are so much more vibrant in person and the ‘sparkles’ give it such great texture.

Texture too, is something that really can’t be seen on the web. The places where paint catches on the texture of the Cold Press and does it’s little “things” are all missed here.

The size as well… all of these paintings are 22×30’s and in my opinion, so much different when you’re standing in front of one, as opposed to looking at a screen size image. People that have seen them say so as well.

Anyway, this is a “dark” painting too but it was rather cathartic to paint it.
