I know there is a lot of controversy about faith. But when you’re looking down the barrel of a gun, your perspective can really take some twists & turns. It got to a point where all I wanted to do was to complete these paintings. The entire group of them had bloomed in my mind and it was my mission to complete them.
Did I want to spend my (possibly) last days, feeling sorry for myself? No.
Did I want my family to? No.
I left the worry behind me … as much as it fought to gain my attention. I threw myself into what was coming, full speed, and painted. I Abandoned all of the fears and simply gave myself up to it. It wasn’t in my hands. Only the canvas and the paint was.
