Sports were woven into all of these paintings in an intricate way in my mind. Singular, perfect moments of a human life, living life to the fullest degree. I admire so many of them and wish that I had their courage and physical fortitude. I imagine, this surfer is me … pivoting on this wave with relaxed precision and without fear. I am the expert violinist, hitting the most perfectly calming and enduring note, in the mind of this surfer … as he tackles the intensity and ferociousness of this potentially lethal wave … and I Ride With It.
